15 Indians in Russian Army being repatriated – MP Vikramjit Sahney

MP, Vikramjit Sahney said that after a great deal of persuasion Russian Army have released 15 Indian youth who are being repatriated shortly to India. Four of them are from Punjab. They are likely to arrive in Delhi tonight.

Dr. Sahney stated that he has been taking up this issue strongly with Indian Embassy in Russia and also with Russian Embassy in New Delhi since March 2024.
Dr. Sahney thanked PM Modi for escalating this issue during his recent visit to Russia with President Putin.

Dr. Sahney further stated that out of total 91 Indian youth who landed up in Russian army 8 got killed and 15 being repatriated now and contract for balance 69 are being invalidated and he hoped that they will return very soon.

Dr. Sahney mentioned that his office is in constant touch with the stranded youth and their families back home.
