Former President-International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Paris-India)

As former president- ICC Paris, Mr. Sahney was commited to promote trade and investment, open markets for goods and services, and the free flow of capital as the ‘’World Business Organisation’’ through rightful dissemination of its core activities mainly-rule setting, dispute resolution, and policy advocacy. Since the members of ICC are themselves engaged in international business, ICC rulebook, although voluntary, govern the conduct of business across borders and have become part of international trade.

In line with its objectives of promoting liberalisation in the country, accelerating flow of foreign investment and lowering tariff barriers to promote international trade, ICC India has been playing a crucial role of interacting with government & business on economic policies. As the process of economic reforms is gaining ground, it is emerging as a rallying point for Indian business in their effort towards globalisation. ICC India, being the most active chapters of the ICC, the World’s apex business organisation, it has a large membership of corporates, chambers of commerce, trade and industry associations, consultancy organisations, law firms, etc. Its internationals linkages far and wide. As the process of economic reforms is gaining ground, it is emerging as a rallying point for Indian business in their effort towards globalisation.

Mr. Sahney took up several issues of relevance for India vis-à-vis global economic connect and organised several panel discussions with the participation of government and think tank that were relayed on electronic channels for the benefit of public. Some of these panel discussions are listed hereunder:
