Mr. Vikramjit S. Sahney, Padma Shri awardee, is a well known entrepreneur & philanthropist of India. He is President of International Chamber of Commerce, India chapter (ICC-India). He is also Honorary Consul for the Republic of South Africa; Chair-BRICS Agri Business Council from India; Chair-SAARC CCI; Board Member NSDC & IBEF. Mr. Sahney is also member of a several CEO forums & task forces constituted by DIPP. He is chairman-Sun International; equity partner-FOSKOR, South Africa which is one of the largest plants in the world that produces phosphates and phosphoric acid with international exposure. He is also strategic advisor & Board Member - Muntajat which is state owned company of Qatar; Member of steering committee of FICCI & managing committee of ASSOCHAM. His academic credentials include Masters in economics and business administration.

Mr. Sahney heads a successful business conglomerate Sun International with its overseas wholly owned subsidiaries, focused on fertilizers, minerals, agri-commodities and Joint Venture investments in countries including and not limited to South Africa, Egypt & Qatar. His other business interests include structuring and implementing counter trade and offset deals world-wide & transfer of technology and skills. Sun is pioneer and leader in marketing as also exporting various fertilizers and semi/raw fertilizers such as Phosphates, iron ore, Chrome ore The Group's business interests span almost the entire globe spanning across Middle East, Africa, China, South Asia, Europe & Latin America.

Mr. Sahney has dedicated himself towards creating a humane & equitable society through his CSR initiative- Sun Foundation. The projects duly recognized by NSDC include Surya Kiran - free vocational and skill development training to underprivileged women and girls in several states of the country; TaareZameen Par - free skill development centres for disabled needy youth. His other initiatives include Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign to raise strong concern about exacerbating sex discrimination and female feticide through awareness campaign and Public interest messages; Running Govt. Drug Rehabilitation centres for skill development in Amritsar, Taran Taran & Jalandhar; Angels of Sun - scholarship to underprivileged children for their education; extending aid to Children of poor widows, war victims, families of farmers who committed suicide in Vidharbha as also national disasters like tsunami etc.
