20TH FREEDOM DAY OF SOUTH AFRICA

New Delhi, February 14, 2014. To give fillip to India's efforts to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation with Pakistan and collectively harness the potential of the region, Vikramjit Sahney as co-Leader of 100 member delegation of FICCI in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India organised the second edition of 'India Show' in Lahore, Pakistan from 14–16 February, 2014.

The event stands as an affirmation of India's belief that increased trade and investments will go a long way in improving the relationship between India and Pakistan besides achieving the common goals of inclusive growth". The second edition of the 'India Show' comes amidst increased efforts by the respective Governments at confidence-building measures leading to the possible grant of the Non-Discriminatory Market Access (NDMA) status to India by Pakistan. Trade has already accelerated with the formal exchange of goods between India and Pakistan increasing from $250 million in 2003 to $2.6 billion in 2013, showing an annual growth rate of 25 per cent in the last 10 years. Experts say the potential of trade between the two nations to be as high as 10 times the current value.
