Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon'ble Finance Minister of Govt. of India inaugurated the state of the art Baba Baghel Singh Sikh Heritage Multimedia Museum at Gurdwara Bangla Saheb, New Delhi on 26th July. To showcase the broad prospective of Sikh heritage and teachings of the Sikh Gurus, Padma Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney, a dedicated philanthropist and Chairman, Sun Foundation & International President – World Punjabi Organisation has established Baba Baghel Singh Sikh Heritage Multimedia Museum in the memory of his father late Sr. Gurucharan Singh Sahney. In this endeavour he has been supported by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.

Addressing the vast gathering of devotees and enthusiasts, Shri Vikramjit Sahney said, " The Lives and Times of the Sikh Gurus is an era which has influenced the society not only in the field of religion but has left an indelible imprint on the mankind as a whole. The Museum portrays teachings of Sikhism that there is one GOD; shuns caste discrimination and gender inequality and respect for environment." adding further that the Museum will attract people of all faiths and religion to see the great sacrifices made by Sikh Gurus for preserving the Indian civilisation & its value system intact."

Shri Arun Jaitley said that Sikh religion is full of sacrifices for the country and preaches universal brotherhood & secularism.

The Museum is appropriately named after Baba Baghel Singh one of the greatest Sikh Warriors who conquered Delhi in 1783 and established seven historic gurdwaras here. The museum portrays lives of Gurus and their teachings which influenced society and mankind. The multimedia museum exhibits Paintings, Murals, Translites and audio/video & running commentary in English, Hindi & Punjabi languages. The Museum is also equipped with a world class Auditorium.
